Job summary

SYNERGY MULTI ACADEMY TRUST seeks a Caretaker for Antingham & Southrepps Primary School. You will unlock and secure the building each day and check safety and maintenance across the site, contributing to a welcoming environment for children.

Hours are 10 per week (7:15-8:15am, 5:00-6:00pm), 43 weeks a year (term time plus 4 weeks). Salary: Scale C Point 3 at £13.28 per hour. DBS check will be required, and occasional overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• Willing to solve problems and undertake practical maintenance tasks.
• Able to communicate with staff, children and parents as needed.
• Contributes to a supportive, child-centred school community.

Responsibilities

• Unlock the building at the start of each day and secure it at the end.
• Ensure basic safety checks and building maintenance are carried out.
• Communicate with colleagues and parents when appropriate.
• Support improvements for children within the school environment.
• Occasional overtime may be available.
