Job summary

Compass Community in Barnham is seeking a part-time Residential Support Worker to help children thrive through a caring, supportive approach. Flexible shifts ensure work-life balance, with early mornings, evenings, weekends, and a few shifts per week to fit your availability.

You will complete two weeks of training, aim for Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months, and support children’s activities, health, safeguarding, and daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 22 years or older to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
• Must have a valid manual driving licence.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting their health and wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, providing appropriate supervision and support.
• Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and food shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
