Job summary

Securitas is seeking a Dedicated Site Relief Security Officer in Cowes, Isle of Wight. The role offers flexible shifts across days, nights and weekends with a contracted 42 hours per week and potential overtime. A valid SIA licence and SC clearance are required, along with a clean five-year work history.

The position involves patrols, access control, incident response, and maintaining a secure, welcoming environment for staff, visitors and clients. Training and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence (essential)
• Experience in security roles
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively under pressure
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends
• Must be a British citizen by birth or have held a British passport for a minimum of 5 years
• Must have a 5-year checkable work history

Responsibilities

• Site Security: Maintain a strong security presence at different locations, ensuring premises, staff, and assets remain protected.
• Patrol & Surveillance: Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols, monitor CCTV systems, and prevent unauthorized access.
• Access Control: Manage entry and exit points, check identification, and enforce security procedures.
• Incident Response: React promptly to security breaches, medical emergencies, fire alarms, and suspicious activities.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report any security concerns, threats, or breaches in line with company procedures.
• Equipment & Alarm Monitoring: Perform routine checks on security equipment and monitor alarms to ensure functionality.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Assist staff, visitors, and contractors by providing directions and ensuring adherence to security policies.
• Professional Conduct: Represent the company with professionalism and maintain a well-groomed appearance.
