Job summary

ISS UK Limited is seeking a Security Relief Officer to support client sites across the UK on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves filling rota vacancies, covering sickness and holidays, and supporting ad hoc security requirements with day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

A valid SIA licence and solid security experience are required. You will be responsible for access control, incident response, visitor guidance and maintaining detailed security records, while

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence.
• Proven experience in security or related field.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
• New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the physical security of client premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action.
• Enforce access control and verify the identity of individuals on-site.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting and guiding visitors.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Ensure high standards at all times, maintaining the professional image of ISS.
• Undertake induction and training as needed.
• Promote a secure and safe working environment at client sites.
