Job summary

North Yorkshire County Council is seeking a Relief Mobile Cook to cover Whitby, Scarborough, Ryedale and surrounding areas. You will travel between schools and have control over which shifts you pick up, preparing meals within budget and ensuring high food safety standards.

There is no weekend or evening work. You will use your own vehicle with business insurance; a mileage allowance of 55p per mile is paid, and travel time is also compensated.

Qualifications

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals within budget following food legislation.
• Maintain a catering service that meets high food safety standards.
• Serve meals to students and staff.
• Ensure food is ordered and stock levels are managed.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment, with records per the food safety system.
