Job summary

North Yorkshire Council invites applications for a Relief Mobile Cook to support school kitchens in Boroughbridge and surrounding areas. You will prepare, cook and serve meals, assist with dining hall setup/clearing, and perform kitchen management duties under area management direction.

We are currently recruiting a Mobile Cook to join our team at various schools in Boroughbridge and the surrounding area school kitchens, catering for a varied number of meals per day, depending on the school’s requirements.

About the Role

As a Relief Mobile Cook your role will require you to lead and support the team to deliver an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety.

Your role will require you to prepare, cook and serve meals to students and staff, setting up and clearing away the dining hall, washing up, as well as other kitchen management duties such as supervision of staff, ordering food, stock taking and administration.

Your role will require you to travel within the area as directed by the area management team. Full driving license and use of a personal vehicle with business use insurance are required. No weekend work!
