Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council seeks an Employability Support Worker to provide practical support for adults with disabilities, helping them gain skills and move toward voluntary or paid work. You will assist with baking, customer service, and life-skills development, often working alone, with flexibility to cover absences.

This role covers March, Ely and Huntingdon, on a zero-hours contract with no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer facing role.
• Awareness of working with people with learning/physical disabilities.
• Flexible and adaptable to service needs.
• Skills with baking cakes and pastries will be tested.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical support and training to help adults with disabilities gain skills and move toward work.
• Assist with baking, preparing products for sale, handling payments, and promoting excellent customer service.
• Work often lone and respond to emergencies or challenging situations as they arise.
