Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a Relief Care Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred care across shifts in Scotland. Your flexibility helps ensure residents continue to receive compassionate support while accommodating other commitments.

You will assist with daily living tasks, meals, and activities, building trusting relationships with residents, families, and staff. PVG checks and SSSC registration are required or pursued, with SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare being pursued.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient and flexible with a genuine desire to help others.
• Willing to work towards SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare.
• PVG Scheme membership and SSSC registration required/achievable.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with meals and encourage healthy nutrition and hydration.
• Promote independence and support individual choices.
• Encourage participation in activities and social opportunities.
• Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of care.
