Job summary

CrossReach is seeking relief care workers to support individuals with daily routines, personal care, and community participation. You will help people access activities, maintain independence, and work within a supportive team in Scotland.

Full induction and ongoing training are provided. A PVG check and SSSC registration are required, with the role offering flexible relief shifts to fit around lifestyle and commitments.

Qualifications

• You must show compassion and a genuine desire to support others.
• Good communication skills and basic IT literacy are required.
• Willingness to learn and develop in social care roles.
• You will need PVG scheme membership and registration with the SSSC.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily routines and personal care where required.
• Encourage independence and confidence in everyday life.
• Assist with household tasks and developing practical life skills.
• Help individuals access work, education, volunteering and social activities.
• Act as a key worker where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records using digital systems.
• Work alongside colleagues, families and other professionals.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and person-centred environment.
