Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Quantity Surveyor within Central Services to provide commercial assurance and financial control across a high volume of lower‑value M&E projects, primarily during the pre‑construction phase. You will embed governance, value for money, and contract compliance while helping develop a self‑delivery maintenance capability for agility and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Finance, with professional body membership pursued.
• Strong knowledge of commercial contract management and NEC contracts.
• Proficient in cost estimation, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Excellent IT skills and ability to work with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate cost estimates and manage project budgets throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare and evaluate tenders, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other commercial documentation.
• Monitor project progress, manage cost variations, and deliver timely financial reporting.
• Administer contracts to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks to protect project outcomes.
