Job summary

Enable Group, a leading infrastructure contractor delivering major projects across the UK water sector, is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of commercial performance from tender handover through to final account. You will work with operational, procurement and finance teams to manage costs, produce forecasts and ensure profitability.

This role suits commercially minded professionals who want to develop within a technically complex sector, with hybrid and flexible working

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial management role.
  • Experience with cost reports and financial forecasts.
  • Good working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience within the water, utilities or MEICA sectors would be advantageous.
  • A Quantity Surveying qualification, or equivalent industry experience, is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support budget management and ensure cost control throughout project delivery.
  • Manage payment applications and valuations.
  • Administer contracts and manage contractual obligations.
  • Procure subcontract packages and manage subcontractor accounts.
  • Assess variations, compensation events and change management processes.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to support commercially sound decision-making.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure commercial governance, compliance and reporting standards are achieved.

An established infrastructure contractor delivering major projects across the UK water sector is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of projects and play a key role in driving commercial success from tender handover through to final account. Working closely with operational, procurement and finance teams, you’ll be responsible for managing costs, maintaining strong commercial controls and ensuring projects are delivered profitably.

The Role
