Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking dedicated Qualified Cover Teachers to join our network of secondary schools in Grantham and surrounding areas. You will deliver high-quality lessons and maintain continuity of learning across a variety of subjects and year groups with flexibility.

You will adapt to different schools and settings, ensuring engaging lessons, strong behaviour management and positive relationships with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in a secondary school.
• Strong classroom management and positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication with pupils and staff.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Willingness to engage in professional development and respond to feedback.
• DBS enhanced check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality teaching and continuity of learning across secondary schools.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons in absence of the usual class teacher.
• Support students’ learning and ensure lessons run smoothly and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and a calm classroom environment.
