Job summary

Simply Education Ltd in Grantham is seeking a dedicated Secondary Cover Supervisor to support local secondary schools with day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements.

You will plan and deliver lessons aligned with the national curriculum, maintain a positive learning environment, and work with staff and parents to track pupil progress. This role requires QTS or PGCE and a passion for secondary education, with scope for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• PGCE with QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong passion for secondary education and commitment to high-quality teaching.
• Understanding of KS3 and KS4 national curriculum.
• Strong organisational and communication skills and effective classroom management.
• Proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and pupil engagement.

Secondary Cover Supervisor (Grantham)

Location: Lincolnshire

Salary: £100-£120 per day

Contract: Full-time, Part-Time, Monday to Friday

Start Date: 01.11.2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering interesting and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Creating a classroom environment that promotes support and engagement for all types of learners
• Working in collaboration with your colleagues and parents to ensure that pupil development is prioritised and strengthened
