Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS to KS2 in near Sawtry and surrounding Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire. The role offers day-to-day cover or long-term placements with flexibility to fit your schedule.

Ideal candidates will have GCSE English & Maths, a warm, patient approach, and an enhanced DBS. You will receive support from a local Randstad Education consultant and opportunities to gain valuable classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with pupils and staff.
• Patience and warmth when supporting learners.
• Ability to adapt to different age groups and settings.
• Team player with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to class teachers in preparing resources and activities.
• Work 1:1 or with small groups to reinforce literacy and numeracy.
• Help children build confidence, focus and social skills.
• Assist pupils with SEND by tailoring activities to needs.
• Support classroom management and positive behaviour.
• Supervise during break times and school trips as needed.
