Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a Primary Teacher for flexible supply and long-term roles across West Sussex and Surrey. You will deliver KS1/KS2 lessons, differentiate instruction, and track pupil progress while fostering an inclusive classroom culture.

The role requires QTS/UK equivalent, DBS Update Service, and strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. A flexible, proactive approach is valuable for long-term or daily supply assignments.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or UK equivalent (ECTs/NQTs encouraged).
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum across KS1/KS2.
• Excellent classroom management with patient teaching style.
• Proven ability to build relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Possess an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Preferred: experience leading a subject area or familiarity with phonics screening frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver National Curriculum lessons across KS1 or KS2.
• Drive pupil progress with high expectations and data-driven insights.
• Foster an inclusive, structured classroom culture where all learners thrive.
• Differentiate instruction to support varied levels of attainment.
• Maintain proactive behavior management and a focused learning environment.
• Collaborate with TAs and SENCOs to deliver targeted interventions.
• Maintain assessment records and communicate progress to parents and leadership.
