Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking Primary Teachers for flexible supply and long-term placements across West Sussex and Surrey. You will deliver National Curriculum lessons across KS1/KS2, drive progress, and foster an inclusive classroom environment.

The role requires QTS or UK-equivalent, strong classroom management, and DBS Update Service. Flexible working options, weekly pay, and regional support are provided.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognized UK equivalent (ECTs/NQTs are encouraged to apply).
• Strong working knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum across KS1 and/or KS2.
• Excellent classroom management skills with an approachable and patient teaching style.
• Proven ability to build professional relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Possess an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Preferred: Experience leading a specific subject area or familiarity with phonics screening frameworks (Read Write Inc., Bug Club, Letters and Sounds).

Responsibilities

• Deliver dynamic National Curriculum lessons across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 that ignite curiosity and foster deep learning.
• Drive pupil progress by setting high academic expectations and utilizing data-driven insights to boost achievement.
• Cultivate an inclusive, warm, and structured classroom culture where every child feels valued and motivated.
• Differentiate instruction effectively to stretch high attainers while scaffolding content for those who need extra guidance.
• Maintain proactive behavior management strategies that promote mutual respect and a focused study environment.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and SENCOs to deliver targeted interventions.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and communicate student achievement to parents and school leadership.
