Ideal candidates hold QTS or eligibility to teach in Wales and possess strong classroom management, communication and safeguarding commitments. The position involves collaboration with school staff and adherence to local curriculum requirements.

Qualifications

• QTS or eligibility to teach in Wales required.
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting essential.
• Solid understanding of primary education, lesson planning and pupil assessment.
• Knowledge of Curriculum for Wales and inclusive education principles.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
• Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with children, or willingness to complete checks.
• Satisfactory references and pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons per Curriculum for Wales and school requirements.
• Support pupils' progress, development and wellbeing.
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes participation and love of learning.
• Adapt teaching approaches to learners' differing abilities and needs.
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress with constructive feedback.
• Establish expectations and promote positive behaviour management.
• Support literacy, numeracy, communication and wider learning skills.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, ALN staff and school professionals.
• Maintain effective communication with colleagues and contribute to pupil development.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies.
