Job summary

Teacher Active Ltd. is seeking Learning Support Assistants to work with primary schools in and around Newark, Nottinghamshire. You will support pupils across EYFS to KS2, providing 1:1 and small-group interventions while helping create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience within a primary school, nursery, SEN setting or similar environment.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Patient, calm and nurturing approach.
• Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within the classroom to help them access their learning.
• Provide 1:1 support for children who need additional guidance.
• Work with small groups and deliver targeted learning interventions.
• Support pupils with SEN, ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other learning needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and participation in lessons.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and promote independence.
• Collaborate with class teachers to support learning and wellbeing.
