Job summary

Locums First is seeking dedicated Locum Healthcare Assistants to cover sessions in Barton-upon-Humber. This flexible clinical support role offers varied shifts across local primary care services, with tasks including routine observations, treatment room support, and contributing to clinic flow.

You will work with primary care teams performing routine observations, ECGs and basic health checks, with phlebotomy assistance if trained.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills desirable.
• Ability to perform clinical observations confidently.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Adaptability across different primary care environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient observations such as BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures under clinical supervision.
• Conduct ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Provide lifestyle advice and basic patient education.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support clinicians with general duties where needed.
