Job summary

Hb People Recruitment & Hr Specialists seeks a Practice Accountant for our Ormskirk client. The role is office based with flexible hours and potential for full-time or part-time work, with a hybrid option after probation.

The successful candidate will manage a varied client portfolio, handling accounts, taxation, and client support, within a supportive, small-team environment that values flexibility and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, qualified by experience, or currently studying.
• Accountancy qualifications are not essential for the right candidate.
• Good working knowledge of accounts, VAT, and taxation.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Friendly and professional manner with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Right to work in the UK and be able to start in the location asap.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Completion of VAT returns and bookkeeping where required.
• Preparation of personal and corporation tax returns
