Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting flexible (temporary) delivery drivers to serve local communities. You will combine driving a Royal Mail van with on-foot delivery in your round, delivering letters and parcels, and providing friendly service rain or shine.

You’ll be paid per shift with different rates depending on the time of day, with Day £13.69, Dawn £14.61, Night £16.44, and Late £15.14. A driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day with a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; flexible to work at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your delivery area, on foot and by van.
• Deliver election materials and other items per Royal Mail standards.
• Provide excellent customer service on your round.
• Pass a driving assessment before starting.
