Job summary

Lift St Helen's is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a difference in our pupils' lives. The role is 26 hours per week across 4 days, supporting children with diverse needs and contributing to a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Requirements include a Level 3 TA qualification, GCSEs in Maths and English, and experience supporting children. Knowledge of SEND strategies and Read Write Inc is advantageous, with a passion for primary education.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification required.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) required.
• Experience supporting children in a classroom setting helpful.
• Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with SEND highly desirable.
• Familiarity with phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support students to access lesson content and achieve learning goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan engaging lessons and assess progress.
• Help students build independent learning skills and manage their progress.
• Support small groups or individuals on targeted activities.
• Contribute to pupils' wellbeing and personal development.
