Job summary

Jane Gorse Recruitment Limited in Knutsford is seeking a part-time Payroll Administrator to join its team. The role focuses on accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payrolls, with responsibility for starter/leaver updates and payroll queries.

This temporary position will move to permanent and offers flexibility around hours. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and good communication, with Sage 50 experience a bonus.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience.
• Strong practical payroll knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills – essential.
• Experience of Sage 50 would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Updating the payroll database and time management system with starter and leaver information.
• Processing Tax, NI, SSP and SMP payments and deductions.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential employee personnel and payroll records.
• Responding to payroll, pay and attendance queries from colleagues.
• Ensuring payroll information is accurate, up to date and compliant.
• Supporting the wider Payroll/HR function as required.
