Job summary

Virgin Active seeks a Junior Activities Supervisor to join our Family Activities Team. The role is part-time, with 20 hours per week, focusing on safe, engaging activities for children and a positive family experience.

You will support the childcare team, deliver age-appropriate activities, and build strong relationships with families while upholding care, safety and service standards across our junior programmes. Flexibility across operating hours is required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 childcare qualification is required.
• Experience with children in childcare, nursery, education, leisure or similar environment.
• Friendly, calm and approachable; able to act quickly in various situations.
• Experience supervising a team and motivating others.
• Excellent communication with children, parents and caregivers.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of Club V, ensuring a safe, engaging and welcoming environment for children of all ages.
• Supervise and support the childcare team, maintaining high standards of care and service.
• Deliver fun, creative and age-appropriate activities for children and families.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and caregivers in a welcoming family environment.
• Support team training, onboarding and development, modelling service, safety and standards.
• Assist with rota management, team organisation and daily activity execution.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and company policies are followed at all times.
• Support Family Activities Manager and lead the team in their absence when required.
