Virtual Hire Staffing is recruiting an HR & Payroll Officer for a Kettering-based business. The role is part-time, 25 hours per week, and focuses on payroll processing and practical HR support.

You’ll process weekly and monthly payroll, handle onboarding and leavers, maintain employee records, respond to routine HR queries, and help improve our systems. Based in Kettering with occasional travel to sites, the role offers a collaborative team and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven payroll processing experience from start to finish.
• Experience in an HR/payroll environment.
• Strong Excel and systems skills.
• HR/payroll qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly payroll, checking hours, overtime and deductions.
• Coordinate HR administration for starters, onboarding, changes and leavers.
• Maintain employee, holiday and absence records and track probation/training renewals.
• Respond to routine HR and payroll queries and support employee relations administration.
• Prepare reports and drive improvements in data accuracy and processes.
