Job summary

Co-op Group is seeking Customer Team Members for a part-time role at our Wincanton store. The position offers a permanent contract with 16 hours per week and regular overtime, providing full, paid training and a friendly team environment.

You’ll help keep shelves stocked, assist customers on the shop floor and at tills, and support local community initiatives. The role involves a mix of opening, middle, and closing shifts, with weekend work and a strong commitment to friendly service.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service focus and a friendly approach.
• Ability to work flexibly across a range of shifts.
• Experience in retail is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and thoughtful service to customers on the shop floor and at tills.
• Support day-to-day store operations with your team to keep things running smoothly.
• Keep shelves stocked, check prices and stock accuracy.
• Assist with post office or bakery duties as required by the store.
• Ensure prices, dates and temperatures are correct and shelves are tidy.
• Promote Co-op Membership and help the local community.
