Job summary

Co-op Group in Deal is hiring a Customer Team Member to provide friendly, helpful service in a local Co-op store. The role may involve working in the post office, bakery, or helping with online orders, with paid training provided.

You will join a team, support daily store operations, keep shelves stocked, and promote Co-op membership while building community connections. Shifts include 11am-4pm and 9am-5:30pm with some weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Able to work flexibly across shifts.
• Interest in retail and busy store environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and thoughtful service and help resolve issues on the shop floor.
• Work with the team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Handle tills and post office counter transactions as needed.
• Keep shelves stocked and check prices, dates and stock accuracy.
• Ensure store safety and legality; monitor prices, dates, and temperatures.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support the local community.
