Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Nursery Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Helston, Cornwall. The role supports pupils across the school with a focus on encouraging engagement and building confidence. Flexible hours and temporary placement offered through Teaching Personnel.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children, a patient and nurturing approach, and a willingness to undertake safeguarding checks including a DBS; training and support provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
• Positive, patient and nurturing approach.
• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to individual pupil and classroom needs.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the school and assist with learning activities.
• Help pupils engage with lessons, build confidence and reach their potential.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain a positive learning environment.
