Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking Nursery Practitioners to support a nursery in the West Midlands with flexible bank shifts. You will work around a weekly rota, starting as early as 8am and finishing by 6pm, and can pick up shifts to fit your availability.

Responsibilities include aiding children's learning and development, forming strong relationships with families, and contributing to a safe, nurturing environment.

Are you looking for flexible work that fits around your lifestyle but want to still support in childcare as much as possible?

I am supporting a wonderful nursery, who are in need of caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Practitioners to join our friendly team. They have flexibility to work around a week;y rota, whereby you will be able to pick up as many shifts as your availability allows. The nursery are keen to build a pool of familiar faces, and create a good close knit team of staff to fill these weekly rotas.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting our nursery whenever extra help is needed, creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. These shifts can start at 8am and the latest shift would be 6pm, with rota times varying between this.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting children in their learning, development, and daily routines.
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Helping to create fun, engaging activities that encourage curiosity and confidence.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Working as part of a supportive and passionate nursery team.

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for working with young children.
• A positive, friendly, and caring attitude.
• Reliability and flexibility to cover shifts when needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A relevant childcare qualification is desirable (Level 2 or Level 3), but we also welcome applications from experienced unqualified practitioners, students, or those currently working towards a childcare qualification.
