Job summary

Wishford Education's Henley Day Nursery in Henley-on-Thames is seeking a caring Early Years Assistant to support lunchtime supervision and meal times within a friendly nursery team.

You will help create a safe, calm environment for children aged 0-5, contribute to planned activities, maintain safeguarding standards, and work with room leaders to promote the nursery ethos. The role is casual, with flexible hours and a fixed term contract.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and activities for ages 0-5.
• Completed Early Years Level qualification (Level 2 or above) preferred but not essential.
• Ability to create a stimulating, safe, and caring learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities for 0-5 year-olds.
• Maintain a safe and stimulating environment while supervising meals and play.
• Support room leader and staff to uphold nursery ethos and safeguarding policies.
• Update child development records as applicable and assist with toileting needs.
