Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking staff for the Sunbury-on-Thames nursery to join its bank team. You will help deliver the EYFS framework through engaging activities, supporting a nurturing environment for children to learn and thrive.

Role offers flexible bank/agency hours with the security and benefits of employment. Applicants must hold a Level 3+ Early Years qualification and have experience caring for children. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years qualification is required.
• Experience with children in nursery settings is preferred.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging.
• Ability to communicate with children and adults effectively.

Nursery: Various Nursery Settings

Hourly Rate: £14.04 - £16.51 p/h (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Sunbury-on-Thames

Our Sunbury-on-Thames setting offers a welcoming, nurturing day nursery with a passionate team dedicated to creating a fun, engaging environment where children can learn, play and thrive. The setting is conveniently located with good public transport links and nearby parking available.

The Role

Working as part of our Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee - giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What we’re looking for

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children - Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
