Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a flexible Nursery Practitioner to join our Floral Place nursery on Bright Flex/Bank shifts, delivering the EYFS through engaging activities and supporting children’s development in a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualified to Level 3+ Early Years, you will work with colleagues to complete daily tasks, room tidying and preparation, while benefiting from a 40% childcare discount and a pension.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working with children in nurseries or similar roles.
• Ability to engage children with learning activities.
• Strong communication with children and adults.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the EYFS through activities with children.
• Work with team to complete day-to-day tasks and prep.
• Maintain safe and clean rooms and resources.
• Assist with planning and preparation for activities.

Salary – £14.98 per hour (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
