Job summary

Bright Horizons Sawbridgeworth Nursery is seeking flexible Bright Flex/Bank practitioners to support delivery of the EYFS with engaging activities for children. You will join our Sawbridgeworth location in Hertfordshire, offering flexible working hours and the security of being part of an established employer with strong safeguarding focus.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 3+ Early Years qualification and have experience in nursery settings, bringing passion for fun, development, and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator or similar.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in educational activities and play.
• Work with the wider team to complete day-to-day tasks such as room tidying and preparation.

Salary – £13.50ph (Level 2), £14.04ph (Level 3) (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

We're looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Bright Horizons Sawbridgeworth Nursery. The nursery is in a rural area with a lovely garden area and light airy rooms. Locally, you will find unique amenities including shops and cafés and street parking nearby. It is a listed building which is Ofsted rated "Good" and situated in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire and is only a 10 minute walk from the station.

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What we’re looking for

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
