Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking a Morning Club Assistant in Coventry to oversee the Breakfast/Morning Club, ensuring a safe and engaging start to the school day. You will supervise children, support breakfast routines, and organise age-appropriate activities across a part-time, casual/flexible schedule.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 3 qualification, have at least 6 months of primary school experience, and can provide two references. DBS checks must be current or be obtainable.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning required.
• Minimum 6 months' experience working with children in a Primary School setting.
• Available to work 7:30am–9:00am.
• Provide two references from previous employers, ideally including a school or childcare setting.
• Hold Enhanced DBS or willing to undertake a new Enhanced DBS check (Update Service preferred).
• Demonstrate safeguarding and child protection understanding.
• Punctual, reliable, approachable and enthusiastic.
• Confident supporting children across different Primary School age groups.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children attending the school's Breakfast/Morning Club.
• Create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment.
• Support breakfast routines and morning activities.
• Organise age-appropriate games, activities and play.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction.
• Ensure safeguarding and school policies are followed.
• Support a smooth transition from Morning Club into the school day.
