Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Breakfast Club and After School Club Assistants for a primary school in Carshalton. You will supervise children, lead enjoyable activities and help create a safe, inclusive environment that supports social development.

We welcome morning, afternoon or both shifts. DBS and Level 2/3 childcare qualifications are valued, with training and support provided by a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or club setting.
• Friendly, energetic and enthusiastic personality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child safety.
• Reliability and commitment to agreed shifts.
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage primary-aged children during breakfast and/or after school sessions.
• Plan and lead fun activities, including arts and crafts, games and outdoor play.
• Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all pupils.
• Encourage positive behaviour, friendships and social development.
• Follow the school's safeguarding, health and safety procedures.
• Work alongside other club staff to ensure sessions run smoothly.
