TeacherActive is seeking Morning Club Assistants to support Primary Schools across Coventry, offering flexible, casual or part-time work in the mornings.

Ideal candidates will have Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning and at least 6 months' experience with primary school children, available 7:30am–9:00am, and willing to support After School Club duties when possible. DBS checks or updates are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is required.
• Minimum 6 months' experience in a Primary School setting.
• Must be available 7:30am–9:00am.
• Two references from previous employers are required.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
• Good safeguarding knowledge and reliable, punctual.

Responsabilités

• Supervise children at Breakfast/Morning Club.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment.
• Support breakfast routines and morning activities.
• Organise age-appropriate games and activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction.
• Ensure safeguarding and school policies are followed.

The Role

As a Morning Club Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring children have a positive and enjoyable start to their school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising children attending the school's Breakfast/Morning Club.
• Creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment.
• Supporting children with breakfast routines and morning activities.
• Organising age-appropriate games, activities and play.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction.
• Ensuring safeguarding and school policies are followed.
• Supporting a smooth transition from Morning Club into the school day.

Working hours are 7:30am 9:00am. Candidates must be available during these hours.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this opportunity, you should:

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a relevant equivalent qualification.
• Have a minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in a Primary School setting.
• Be available to work between 7:30am and 9:00am.
• Be able to provide two references from previous employers, ideally including a recent school or childcare setting.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to undertake a new Enhanced DBS check.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Be punctual, reliable, approachable and enthusiastic.
• Be confident supporting children across different Primary School age groups.

Bonus: Candidates who are also interested in working as After School Club Assistants are strongly encouraged to apply, as additional opportunities may be available.
