Job summary

Fera Science Ltd. is seeking a Laboratory Facilities Supervisor to oversee the Molecular Technology Facility, ensuring maintenance, safety, and compliance with ISO 17025 and ISO 9001.

You will liaise with diverse facility users, conduct inductions, and support long‑term planning and improvements in a busy lab environment. The role requires strong communication, meticulous SOP adherence, and a collaborative approach within the Molecular Team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a molecular laboratory and/or containment level II is desirable.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with clear record keeping.
• Experience working to accredited standards such as ISO 17025 and ISO 9001.
• Strong time management and proactive issue troubleshooting in a busy lab.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operation of the Molecular Technology Facility.
• Coordinate maintenance, procurement and scheduling of equipment and ensure labs meet standards.
• Induct and train new staff and visitors on facility use and safety.
• Interact with facility users to gather feedback and address issues in a timely manner.
• Help with long‑term planning and business cases for facility improvements.
