Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants to work across local primary care services in Egremont. The role focuses on flexible clinical support, carrying out routine observations and assisting in treatment room duties within structured clinics.

Ideal candidates will have HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings, with strong patient-facing skills and confidence in delivering routine clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Ability to perform clinical observations confidently.
• Enhanced DBS.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Adaptability across different primary care environments.
• Phlebotomy skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine patient observations such as BP, pulse and temperature.
• Supporting treatment room procedures under clinical supervision.
• Conducting ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained.
• Providing lifestyle advice and basic patient education.
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed.
