Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants to work in Stockbridge. This role offers flexible clinical support across local primary care services, with varied sessions for HCAs who are confident delivering routine clinical tasks.

You will support primary care teams with observations, treatment room duties and clinical flows, ensuring a consistent working environment through guided workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure is desirable.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills are essential.
• Able to perform routine clinical observations confidently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient observations such as BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures under clinical supervision.
• Conduct ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Provide lifestyle advice and basic patient education.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support clinicians with general duties as needed.
