Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work with a GP practice in Aylesbury. You will handle a varied caseload, deliver patient assessments and provide continuity where required, with strong admin support and defined clinical workflows.

The role offers ad-hoc or regular sessions, full-day or half-day bookings, and potential for longer-term arrangements, with emphasis on safe prescribing and clear documentation in the EMIS/SystmOne systems.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP with NHS practice experience.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication.
• Familiar with primary care workflows and safety checks.
• Indemnity coverage and Enhanced DBS in place.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases
• Providing telephone consultations and triage
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries
• Prescribing safely and appropriately
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks
