Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work for a GP practice in Cannock. This locum role offers flexible sessions within a well-structured primary care environment designed for manageability and continuity of care.

You will handle routine and urgent clinics, conduct patient assessments, review investigations, and provide safe prescribing with strong clinical decision-making and good communication.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems.
• Valid indemnity.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
