Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Leighton Buzzard. The role offers ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions with full- or half-day availability, enabling flexible scheduling within a supportive primary care environment.

You will manage a varied caseload, deliver high-quality patient assessments and provide continuity where required, supported by strong admin systems and established clinical workflows for efficient session delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be GMC-registered and practicing in the UK.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List is required.
• Recent UK primary care experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Run routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Manage acute presentations and complex cases.
• Conduct telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Review investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribe safely and appropriately.
• Document consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Support the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
