Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work at a GP practice in Scarborough. The role offers flexible, well-organised sessions within a supportive primary care team, with clear daily clinical workflows.

You will manage a varied caseload, conduct patient assessments, provide telephone triage, and ensure safe prescribing. The practice provides strong admin support and a collaborative environment to sustain ongoing bookings and long-term arrangements.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP required with right to work in the UK.
• Active inclusion on NHS Performers List is required for the post.
• Recent UK primary care experience is essential.
• Familiarity with primary care IT systems (EMIS or SystmOne) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Manage acute presentations and complex cases.
• Provide telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Review investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribe safely and appropriately.
• Document consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Support the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
