Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a General Practitioner to work as a locum for a GP practice in Hartlepool. The role offers ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions with full-day or half-day availability, backed by strong administrative and clinical workflows.

You will manage a varied caseload, perform high-quality patient assessments and provide continuity where required, with a team-focused approach and structured daily clinical work.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner required.
• Active inclusion on NHS Performers List preferred.
• Recent UK primary care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations in the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
