Job summary

Middlesbrough Council is seeking a Live Well Aware Caseworker to provide flexible, person-centred support for individuals facing substance use, domestic abuse, or homelessness. The role involves meeting clients in community settings and working outside traditional hours to fit around their lives.

You will guide clients through recovery, develop tailored plans, and liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure access to necessary services. A trauma-informed, strengths-based approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable populations; substance use/domestic abuse/homelessness experience is helpful.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Trauma-informed, strength-based approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings and assessments to identify client needs.
• Develop and implement tailored recovery support plans.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure care.
• Engage clients flexibly and proactively to meet service needs.
