Job summary

Medicare People is seeking Live-in Carers (Self Employed) in Ferring to provide compassionate, person-centred care in clients’ homes across the area. Roles offer flexible placements from 4 days up to 8 weeks, with training, accommodation during placements, meals budget, and ongoing 24/7 support from a care team.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' experience in UK care.
• Patient and compassionate attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence working independently and using initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care in clients' homes.
• Build relationships through companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with personal care: washing, dressing, grooming.
• Support mobility and safe moving and handling.
• Prepare meals and promote good nutrition/hydration.
• Administer medication per care plans.
• Assist with light household duties including cleaning and laundry.
• Run errands like shopping and collecting prescriptions.
• Monitor wellbeing and report concerns to families/teams.
• Maintain accurate care records and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
