The Woodlands School is a specialist provision for children and young people with Autism and/or Social Communication Difficulties, all the students have Education, Health and Care Plans as their needs are long term.

Flexi Teaching Assistant positions are part-time, 25 hours per week during term time, 9:30am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday. The role requires teamwork, reliability and a calm, respectful communication style, with willingness to swim as part of the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Experience is not necessary but a passion to support children and young people with special educational needs is essential.
• You will be working alongside at least two other teaching assistants so you must be able to work in a team.
• It is essential that the successful candidate is able to communicate clearly in a calm and respectful manner, be reliable and trustworthy and work within the school’s policies, including safeguarding and child protection.

FTE £27,709 - £29,071 Actual starting salary £15,829.81 (£14.36 ph)

Following the successful internal promotions of teaching assistants, we are looking to expand our Flexible Teaching Assistant team. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people, who are able to engage with our students. You will be working alongside at least two other teaching assistants so you must be able to work in a team. It is essential that the successful candidate is able to communicate clearly in a calm and respectful manner, be reliable and trustworthy and work within the school’s policies, including safeguarding and child protection. Full-time: Posts are for 25 hours a week and Term Time Only. The hours for this position are: 9:30am - 2:30pm Monday-Friday.

Please Note: A willingness to take part in swimming is essential as the students take part in swimming as part of the curriculum. You must be over 18 years of age.

Flexi Teaching Assistant positions will be based across all of our 3 sites depending on the day-to-day needs of the school. You must be willing to move between campuses as and when required
