Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking adaptable Teaching Assistants to support learners across primary and secondary settings in Solihull and surrounding areas. Roles include day-to-day supply and long-term placements, with flexible schedules to suit your lifestyle.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups to boost literacy and numeracy, assist with SEN needs, and help create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment. DBS updates and right-to-work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people in schools, nurseries, youth work, care, or coaching.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication skills and a good command of English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Right to work in the UK and reliable transport links to schools in your area.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery and effective classroom management.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to boost literacy, numeracy, and confidence.
• Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as ASD, ADHD, or speech delays.
• Create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment for all students.
