Job summary

Yorkshire Building Society is seeking a Commercial Credit Risk Oversight Lead Manager to join our Prudential Risk team. You will oversee the Commercial Lending Credit Risk framework, provide independent oversight and challenge to senior stakeholders, and shape the future direction of risk management.

From day one, you’ll work with Directors and Chiefs, translating complex risk concepts into clear, actionable guidance while maintaining hands-on risk oversight.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Commercial Lending Credit Risk or related risk areas.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders including Directors and Chiefs.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex risk issues into clear messages.
• Experience providing independent challenge to support balanced risk decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual planning and delivery of the Commercial Credit Risk Oversight strategy and plan.
• Set strategic direction for the Commercial Lending Quality Assurance function.
