Job summary

Fortrea Clinical Research Unit in Leeds is offering a Bank (0-hours) laboratory support role at our Drapers Yard unit, seven minutes from the train station. Shifts may include weekends, twilight, and night shifts, with up to 37 hours per week during busy periods.

No science degree is required; we provide full training to develop the technical skills needed. You will support sample processing, data documentation and basic lab tasks in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous but not required.
• Good numeracy and literacy, with ability to follow written instructions.
• Proactive, practical and keen to learn with willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sample processing and dispatch according to study instructions with quality.
• Document results accurately and on time following SOPs and protocols.
• Recognise deviations and escalate as needed; assist with study setup and lab prep.
• Maintain inventory of reagents and ensure safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and spaces.
